Happy Holidays to everyone!

Jingle bells, jingle all the way!

Oh what fun ..December is.. if you don’t count all the work that needs to be finished before the end of the year! BUT, it is actually fun. I always loved December as a kid. Because I grew up in the South of France (mostly), we didn’t have snow. We barely had to wear jackets, but the wind would blow and the night would come early. There was music in the street and all the lights were out. Somewhere on a corner someone would be selling roasted chestnuts and people would be hurrying around with colorful wrapped boxes. I didn’t really care for Christmas itself as much as the anticipation of the event.

As I got more.. hmmm… let’s say, “experience” in life, and have kids of my own, I see that same excitement in their eyes. Which is odd since we are in a completely different country and culture. I still get excited but not for the same reasons. I love seeing and watching them grow up through these landmark events. I guess I’ve gotten much more reflective than active in recent years and I think that is what transpires through my art.
